In 1988, in Livorno, Alessandro Accordino founded EGOBAND.
After a demo tape, the band recorded its first album "Trip in the light of the world”, published in 1991 by the French label Musea.
The recording sessions took place in Cappanera brother’s studio “STRANA OFFICINA”.
The second album "Fingerprint" was published in 1993 by Italian label “Mellow Records”.
The third album "We are" (Mellow Records) came into being in 1995. Shortly after the group was invited to participate in a tribute to Van Der Graaf Generator (double cd) with the song "Arrow".
"Earth" (Mellow Records) was released at the end of 1999.
In 2013, EGOBAND played a version of "Have a cigar" for a double CD tribute to Pink Floyd.
Over the years, EGOBAND has performed on major stages such as Vigevano ProgFestival, Genova Garibaldi Theatre, Modena gardens and patios live fest, Livorno Shanghai live, Pisa Festa dell’Unità, Vallo della Lucania music fest, La Spezia ProgLiguria, Livorno Villa Corridi festival, Pisa Metarock, Borderline Club, Blitz Club, Aurora Theatre Livorno and many other venues, opening, among others, for Jethro Tull and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. Now, the band is committed to promote the new album "Tales from the time" (Maracash Records), released in May 2016.
The sounds of the seventies reign on stage, from progressive rock to Hard rock, for an energetic and exciting show.
In addition to their music Egoband performs songs from King Crimson, Uriah Heep, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,Van Der Graaf Generator, the Who and Deep Purple,honoring the historic bands that forged the Group's sound style.
